6MM EPDM sponge is a general purpose closed cell sponge. This neoprene fabric has good flexibility and a good resistance to ozone and UV light.

This foam fabric works well in cold or hot conditions including use with hot or cold fluids.

It is a synthetic rubber with many applications. Most common use is in vehicles. Within the automotive trade it is used extensively for Door seals, Window seals, trunk seats and even hood seals, cooling system circuit hoses and also EPDM rubber sheets are used to connect the cold side of the charge air cooler to the intake manifold.

Also used in seals in cold room doors as it is an excellent insulator. It is a sound and thermal insulation energy absorbance qualities.

Other uses include garden and appliance hose, washers, belts, electrical insulation, speaker surrounds.

EPDM sponge rubber has excellent weather proof qualities therefore used as a water resistance in roofing membranes.

Does not work well with oils or kerosene. Not for upholstery or clothing use.
